LO FO IO

Lo fo io. The name says it all: in the Tuscan dialect it means “I do it myself”. Indeed, at Lo fo io we are knitwear artisans. We took over the machinery of the old family business and now handle the entire production chain.
We make scarves, gloves and hats with the aim of making these items unique and even fun. The “Ganzo” neck warmer is a clear example.
Moreover, we obtain the yarns we use by working with the renowned Prato cenciaioli, those who have been recycling textile waste for over a century, here in Prato.

Beppe, founder of the project together with his twin sister Sara, has another boundless passion besides craftsmanship: he is a theatre performer. He loves telling stories, especially those around him. In fact, “Genesi del Rigenero” is his theatrical monologue about the cenciaioli. He tells their story, and that of Prato, with a comic twist. In two words: artisan-performer.
