Pantofibre is a Prato icon in the processing, transformation and trade of fine textile fibres from combed or carded recovered material.
The accuracy of the manual sorting of the materials, divided by quality/purity and colour, together with the practical experience in the subsequent operations – from pressing to the transformation and trade of regenerated wool – have ensured the company’s stability for over half a century. Daily dedication has generated solid growth, and Pantofibre’s reliability is also recognized by the Global Recycle Standard certification, which today guarantees full compliance with international standards.
As often happens in companies with a history, the story of Pantofibre begins before its foundation: it is 1963 when the first registration of a small sole proprietorship for the sorting, transformation and trade of textile fibres by Antonio Nenciarini is recorded. From 1965, the brothers Amedeo and Antonio, joined by their father Amberto, gradually expanded the business, which in 1973 took the name Pantofibre and in 1986 was established in its current form as an S.r.l.
The corporate structure reflects on the surface what happens inside the company: a business that grows and specializes as the involvement of the family and collaborators grows. Antonio and Amedeo, supported by Amberto, balance and complement each other: one more technical, the other more inclined toward the commercial side, one organized and objective, the other explosive; they achieve a perfect balance and develop a network of contacts that is still today the strength of Pantofibre: suppliers, processors and customers with whom a relationship of trust has been built.
Trust and stability have been and still are a key aspect within the company as well, where several collaborators have remained for their entire professional lives; and it is precisely the continuity of expertise that has proven to be a decisive factor in allowing the business to evolve in line with the specialization of the market, which has gradually sought a product of greater purity and quality.
