Founded in Prato in 1978, Rifinizione Alan S.p.A. is a benchmark in the finishing of woven and knitted fabrics. Thanks to constant investment in technological innovation, specialist expertise and environmental sustainability, the company supports every fabric through the final stages of processing, enhancing its quality, performance and appearance.
Rifinizione Alan S.p.A. operates in the heart of the Prato textile district as a company specialising in the preparation, fulling, dyeing and finishing of woven and knitted fabrics. The experience gained over more than forty years of activity, combined with the continuous upgrading of its production facilities, enables the company to meet the needs of the leading brands in the fashion and textile sector, offering highly customised, high-quality processing.
The processing covers a wide range of fibres and compositions, including carded and combed wool, cotton, linen, viscose, silk, nylon, polyester and their blends. The production cycle includes preparation, fulling, dyeing and numerous finishing treatments, carried out with advanced technologies that ensure uniformity, quality and repeatability of the final result.
Sustainability is one of the central elements of the company’s philosophy. Since 1991, Rifinizione Alan has used recycled water from the centralised GIDA plant, significantly reducing its use of water resources. Since 2010, part of its energy needs has been covered by a photovoltaic system, while production processes are managed with a focus on reducing environmental impact, ensuring traceability of processing and continuously improving environmental performance. The company also publishes its Sustainability Report every year.
Rifinizione Alan is certified UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 for its environmental management system and is qualified to process items certified GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), GRS (Global Recycled Standard) and RWS (Responsible Wool Standard). It also adheres to the Higg FEM and Higg FSLM protocols, international tools for assessing the environmental and social performance of the textile supply chain.
Thanks to the combination of experience, technological innovation and commitment to sustainability, Rifinizione Alan is today a key player in the Cardato Riciclato Pratese (Prato Recycled Carded Wool) supply chain, contributing to the enhancement of the district’s manufacturing heritage and to the quality of the products derived from it.
