Rifinizione B.P. Srl was founded in 1967 as Rifinizione Artigiana, later becoming Rifinizione B.P. in 1972.
A company that over time has been able to evolve in line with market needs, responding promptly and appropriately to the demands of the textile sector, thanks to a constant technological and financial commitment.
Over the years, the company has continued to invest in and develop finishing processes, adding to the production of carded and combed fabrics for outerwear and knitted fabrics a division entirely dedicated to the finishing and treatment of fabrics for accessories.
The company has always sought to maintain an artisanal profile in the tradition of the City of Prato, striving to pass on to its workforce the art of processing protein, vegetable, synthetic and man-made fibres, which each time require the operator’s sensitivity to be finished to the best result.
Fabrics for Accessories Department
The accessories department offers a more complete range of treatments, customized according to the nature of the fibres: protein, vegetable, man-made or synthetic.
Thanks to our solid experience and our ability to develop customized finishings and treatments, even for small quantities.
We specialize in treatments that add performance to fabrics and we have an extremely complete range of machinery.
We are experts in the various fulling processes for woven wool fabrics or jersey fabrics, in order to obtain a fabric similar to felt or cloth. Through a special compacting treatment, the physical structure of the wool is modified, giving density to the fabric.

In addition, the accessories department is equipped with industrial baskets of various sizes for the treatment of man-made and synthetic fabrics, both in garment and in piece form. In particular, we have developed a series of washes and treatments for cotton or denim fabrics, which we list below:
•Scour, Softening Treatment: washing on garments or piece goods that removes the stiffness typical of new fabric, giving a hand that is pleasant to the touch. In addition, the washes make it possible to account for fabric shrinkage in order to achieve the correct fit.
•STONE WASHED, ecological STONES and ENZYMES: this treatment is used to give the garment or piece goods a more or less vintage appearance. Using only products classified as ZDHC level 3 and ecological stones.
Fabrics for Apparel Department
The company has a range of machinery rooted in the wool tradition, for both woven fabric and jersey fabric, in order to offer customers a more complete range of finishings customized according to the nature of the fibres: protein, vegetable, man-made or synthetic.
The aim of our finishing is to improve the appearance, hand and properties of the fabric, also according to its possible uses. In addition to traditional mechanical treatments, the chemical-physical ones make use of chemical solutions suited to the desired result.

QUALITY CONTROL
Quality control in the intermediate and final stages of processing allows us to guarantee the customer a product that meets their technical requirements and is in line with the quality standards of our processes, verifying that the following data comply with the technical data sheets of the production progress

LABORATORY
In our in-house laboratory we carry out physical-chemical tests, to which we can apply the standards of each specific Brand.
Laboratory tests to verify the conformity of the processed piece goods.
Even though it is a non-certified laboratory, for the tests we comply with the standards relating to:
• Dimensional stability, to steam and to washing
• Water-repellency and oil-repellency testing
• Colour tone check
• Colour fastness
• Martindale (abrasion and pilling)
• Hand and appearance
SUSTAINABILITY
Since 2018, our company has chosen to undertake a certification-body auditing of its chemical, environmental, social and traceability processes, which has allowed us to obtain the GRS GOTS RWS IVN certifications.
