Sun-tex Srl, founded in 2001 by Marco and Piero Bardazzi together with Roberto Baroncelli, has deep roots in the special fibres sector. The company has established itself through its specialisation in the trade of cashmere waste and other noble fibres. A careful selection and processing procedure makes it possible to regenerate discarded 100% cashmere knitwear, separating the intact garments, destined for the vintage knitwear market, from the defective ones, which are cleaned and torn, sorted by uniform colour.

The 100% cashmere fibre thus obtained is resold to companies producing yarns for knitwear and weaving, guaranteeing high standards of quality and sustainability. Recently, the raw material produced by Sun-tex has been certified by the Global Recycled Standard (G.R.S.), promoted by Textile Exchange, a non-profit organisation for sustainable development in the textile sector.

Sun-tex places particular emphasis on the philosophy of recycling, essential for the sustainability of the textile industry and the prevention of landfill use. Sun-tex’s torn knitwear makes it possible to obtain yarns without dyes and chemical solvents, contributing to a reduced environmental impact.

In addition to fibre regeneration, Sun-tex offers a stock service and agency service with warehousing, managing the trade of viscose, polyester and nylon yarns. The vintage 100% cashmere knitwear is sanitised with an ECOWASH ecological washing process and sold at the company outlet in Prato, where thousands of pure cashmere garments, including those of well-known brands, are always available in various sizes and colours.
